3 Top Reasons Why I Love American Canyon Part 1
January 10, 2016

My husband and I decided to move to American Canyon in 2002 as the first phase of new homes were being developed.

We were starting a family.  In fact our first son was born less than two months after we moved into our new home in May 2002!

My parents relocated from Los Angeles to live with us in our beautiful new home that could accommodate two connected families.

Having been a multi-generational family, I know that this city has been a perfect place for us to call home for the past 14 years.

If I had to pick the top 3 reasons why I love American Canyon, here's my reason #1 (reasons 2 and 3 are to follow)

Our public schools are great here!  Our two boys are a product of our public school system of the Napa Valley Unified School District.

Our oldest is about to graduate from American Canyon Middle School (ACMS) this year and will be promoted to American Canyon High School (ACHS).

Our younger one is finishing the year at Donaldson Way Elementary School and will be starting at the middle school next year.

What I'm most pleased with is the teachers and the leadership teams of our schools.  They care about the quality of education and service they bring to our kids.  Over the years, I've had the honor to work directly with 3 out of 5 of our school principals on special projects so I can speak with confidence to their dedication and personal philosophy to their schools. The parents are involved in our schools which directly benefits the kids.

Our schools have been recognized at state and national levels.

Here's a recent mention about ACHS and its awesome faculty.

Here's an article about ACMS being acknowledged as one of the Gold Ribbon schools awarded in 2015.  So proud!

Oh yes, and here's the best part about living in American Canyon and our schools.  It takes between 10-20 minutes to get to any of the schools during traffic hours!!

Life is good in American Canyon!

It's a great town for young families to raise children.

There's a great community for the grandparents as well.  Check out Part 3 of this series.
